Orchid is a life sciences advisory firm dedicated to helping high-potential biotech and biopharma companies navigate the complex path from scientific promise to value-creating milestones. Leadership

Orchid is led by Lucas Rodriguez, a biotech operator with experience across company creation, scientific development, and capital formation. Lucas began his career as a biotech entrepreneur before consulting to the industry. He served as CEO of CerSci Therapeutics, guiding the company through early clinical development and strategic positioning efforts culminating in its acquisition by Acadia Pharmaceuticals in 2020.

In parallel with Orchid, Lucas serves as a Partner at Alacrita Consulting, where he oversees business development and investor services for early-stage and emerging biopharma companies. His work spans discovery platforms, therapeutic programs, and enabling technologies across multiple disease areas, with a focus on shaping credible development plans and aligning them with investor and partner expectations.

 

Lucas has worked with founders, scientific leaders, and investors across the U.S. and international biotech ecosystems. His experience blends operator perspective, scientific fluency, and market awareness; helping companies articulate their value, prepare for diligence, and execute toward meaningful milestones.
